IDG TechNetwork Launches Syndicated Video Network

NEW YORK, NY – June 25, 2010 –The IDG TechNetwork has launched a syndicated video network to enable publishers to quickly and easily integrate IDG produced video content and video pre-roll ads onto their sites.

According to eMarketer, online video ad spend this year is expected to increase by more than 48% following a jump of almost 39% last year. By creating a high quality content network, the IDG TechNetwork is helping its publishers take advantage of this growing advertising segment while allowing advertisers to extend video campaigns within highly targeted technology sites (http://www.idgtechnetwork.com/capabilities/).

"Many of our network sites have a strong interest in bringing professional video to their sites, but don't have the technical platform or access to the right content," said Peter Longo, CEO of the IDG TechNetwork. "By tapping into IDG's library of video content, we can bring our partner sites engaging video, increase the monetization of their sites, and provide a new, high impact way for our advertisers to engage with our tech audiences."

Video content is created by numerous IDG media brands and the IDG News Service with bureaus in Asia, Europe, and the United States. The IDG News Service distributes more than 15 videos per week including the weekly "World Tech Update" hosted by Nick Barber. Combining video content with the IDG TechNetwork advertisers creates a premium syndicated video network, providing another way for sites to engage with their technology audiences and for marketers to reach them.
